Next Gen speakers take advantage of two key new technologies that allow us to ramp up resolution, dynamic range and bandwidth, bringing reproduced music closer to the real thing. Speakers get smaller while they do more, the old pile of components goes away, and the user interface jumps into the present. And, most important for us, the limit of what is possible takes a huge leap forward. While others have finally begun to join the Next Gen revolution - welcome to the party - we have been designing and building exclusively with Next Gen technologies for longer than a decade. It has been a journey of discovery and we’ve learned a suite of new ideas, ideas that lie ahead for those who’ve just begun. What follows is a five part technical presentation that highlights a few of our insights. I’ll be blunt: I have mixed feeling about laying these idea bare, in a place where other designers could easily absorb them. But our history of being upfront with our customers about how our product works outweighs that negative.
